My Dad recently gave my brother and I copies of the book. I really appreciate the work that went into putting it together. For me personally it records significant information.

Reply with quote | #3 | My brother-in-law gave me a copy of your book. We, my wife and I, are reading it now and enjoying it very much. I was suprised to see an old picture of me and the softball team I was on in the book. I went on the patrol in 1952 and stayed until the end. Most of the time I was at 50th and Union on Patrol #2. Many, many memories and many experiences at that old house. Later when I joined the Fire Dept. I was assigned to Eng. 50, Truck 18 in the same house. As a kid living on 51st. St. I played in the fire house when the patrol answered a call and was chased out many times by Pat O'Mara. Little did I know that some day I would be working with the same man. He never recognised me and I never volunteered the information. I ended my career as a Lt. with a duty disability. Thanks so much for bringing back so many good memories. John Sheehan
