Do you have any record of a Captian Henry C. Schroeder. He was born about 1850 in Germany and died in Chicago Oct. 31, 1913. Census records show he was a fireman. I believe he is my great grandfather's brother who lived in Perham, MN. I found an article in Perham that stated, "Capt. Henry Schroeder, from Chicago, arrives in Perham upon news of his brother Charles' death." I am just trying to find any other information about him, his family (I think his dad was Theodore, and mom Johanna, also from Germany and settled in Chicago. Perhaps you have pictures or stories. Any help? Thank you.

Hi Patty
Thanks for your post. I will check my Patrol records to see what information I have. Captain Schroeder probably was on the Chicago Fire Department and not the Patrol. I will look at my info over the weekend so check back early next week. Thanks Keith

Hi Patty
I found no records of a Captain Henry C. Schroeder having worked on the Patrol. That doesn't mean he didn't work on the Patrol. Most of my records are post 1932. I have a feeling he was on C.F.D. I would direct you to the Museum of Greater Chicago to check their extensive records but they are temporally closed while the move to a different location. Sorry for the delay in my search.
