Hi Sam The picture of the man above my grandfather is Patrol Chief Frank McAuliffe and he ran the Patrol from 1925 to 1956. We have a chapter in the book that that gives the history of all 4 Patrol Chiefs. Thanks for you interest!!! Keith Seafield |

Could you tell me what kind of helmet your grandfather whore when he was Chief of the Patrol? The Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, Inc. (Fire Patrol 2) will be electing new position, Chief of Patrol. In keeping with tradition of the Patrol. I would love to know or if you have any pics of your grandfather wearing his Chief helmet. http://www.CCFPP.org |

Hi Brian My grandfather was a Captain on the Patrol. I have a pic of the last Patrol Chief, Fred Kempf, on the scene of a fire and he is wearing his helmet. I will email it to you. Thanks Keith |

My grandparents are (or were, since they are both deceased) Fred and Helen Kempf, and I'm their only grandson (there are also three granddaughters). Fred and Helen had two children (a son and a daughter) and I'm the child of his daughter. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this website! |

Mr. Zaber Welcome to the site. Your grandfather is in the book as he was the last Patrol Chief. Your grandparents and mine were good friends and they spent a lot of time together (especially playing cards). At one time they lived in the apartment above my grandparents, so your mother and Uncle Don used to play with my mother and aunt when they were kids. In the book there are some interesting stories and neat pictures of your grandfather. We even used photos of his issued Patrol badges. You definitely must get a copy of our book. Thanks for contacting us. If you would like to talk to me then please send an email (chicagofyrpatrol@bellsouth.net) and I will give you my phone number. Thanks Keith Seafield |
